Fabrication Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • The Production Shop Generalist position is responsible for deburring sheet metal coming from the punch/laser and material handler. • Shake punched or lasered parts from the full sheet of metal. • Check work order (job traveler) for product instructions on deburring sharp edges. • Hand deburr all edges as outlined in the job traveler. • After deburring, palletize the parts, stacking according to instructions. • Work with the Material Handler to move sheet metal and parts as needed. • Assist with pressing threaded nuts and studs into sheet metal using a machine called a Pemserter  

Physical Demands/ Work Conditions: • The employee stands (8-10 hours/day), walking, stooping, and reaching, as well as frequently lifting manually and/or moving material up to 50 pounds. • Normal exposure production/manufacturing environment subject to dust, metal shavings, machinery oil, and powder coating. Required Personal Protective Equipment: • Safety glasses—or two forms of eye protection if operating grinders (safety glasses & face shield). • Gloves when handling material. • Earplugs when machinery is operating nearby. Minimum Qualifications/Technical Knowledge Required: • HS Diploma /GED, or vocational tech school. • Strong mechanical ability. • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings with training. • Complete training on manual and battery-operated pallet jack. • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and cross functional interpersonal skills. • Strong work ethic, integrity, initiative, and “can-do” attitude. • Ability to work in a team environment. •
